MS did a good job with Live. Fortunately, not much has to change when Live once the new Xbox is released. People are still pouring gobs of money into sub fees, which in turn will build a foundation for the future of Live. This is why I'm a little wary of Sony's free service and its improvements. How much of an improvement were we to expect from the last firmware update? The quality may not have much of a difference now between the two, but Xbox Live is sitting on a nest egg right now. ...

KZ 2's dev cost was an estimated 20 million and they had already hit that mark in 2006-2007. A year later, the got it up to 40 million before advertising, with another year of delay, 60 million is about right. Your "research" needs to go beyond wikipedia.
